Executed by one of the major artists of the 16th century School of Fontainebleau, this drawing is a preparatory study for the figure of one of the Kings of Judah and Israel which surrounds the central scene of Christ Triumphant at the Last Judgment on the ceiling of the Trinity Chapel at the chateau of Fontainebleau.
Sold to the Metropolitan Museum of New York.
